About Dreadlocks 2 Love
Dreadlocks 2 Love was founded by Benite Corion, a Master Loctician, innovator, and CEO with over 30 years of experience in the hair industry. Having owned a salon and served clients across 12 states and 3 countries, Benite became renowned for developing unique techniques to clean, restore, and install locs—empowering individuals to reclaim their confidence through healthy hair solutions.
As her journey evolved, Benite identified a growing and underserved community: clients experiencing hair loss due to alopecia, traction alopecia, cancer, and other medical conditions. These individuals were seeking real dreadlock replacement options, particularly dreadlock extensions, but none existed.
To fill this gap, Benite developed InstantLoc Dread Extensions™, a patented method using real Afro-textured human hair to create natural-looking dreadlock extensions. But the demand kept growing—and supply couldn't keep up.
Benite began collecting dreadlocks from clients who cut theirs off and reached out to barbers for hair donation. Then came a pivotal moment: a grieving mother called to donate her late son’s collection of dreadlocks, intended for wigs. Though the transfer never happened, the call sparked a bold idea—create a platform open to the public for dreadlock donation.
That vision became Dreadlocks 2 Love: a first-of-its-kind program that accepts, processes, and repurposes donated dreadlocks. Each bundle is cleaned, sometimes colored, trimmed, inventoried, and safely stored in wig bags until matched with a client in need. These donations go toward custom wigs, hairpieces, and dreadlock solutions for people experiencing hair loss.
As of 2025, we now receive 5–10 donation packages weekly, compared to just 1–2 per month in the early days. This growth is a testament to the community’s belief in what we do.
Dreadlocks 2 Love gives hair a second life—restoring confidence, supporting those experiencing hair loss, and creating a trusted, sustainable system for authentic dreadlock donation and reuse.

Our Journey in the Hair Industry
Benite Corion, founder and CEO of Braids By Bee Inc., is a trailblazer in the beauty industry who created methods and solutions where none existed. With over 30 years of experience and a heart rooted in community service, Benite didn’t just follow trends — she created them. From inventing hair restoration techniques to patenting InstantLocs™, she has helped thousands reclaim their confidence and identity through her transformative work.
As our salon grew, so did our understanding of the deeper needs of our clients. We realized many people with dreadlocks were silently suffering from hair loss — not only due to illness like alopecia or cancer, but also from natural aging, thinning, or the heavy weight of mature locs over time. Many felt they had no choice but to cut their locs and start over. Many did — without knowing that solutions existed.
Benite became that solution.
Through advanced techniques, handmade dread extensions, and customized hair units, Benite helped restore what was thought to be lost. But there was still one missing piece: access to real dreadlocks. That’s when Dreadlocks 2 Love was born.
Dreadlocks 2 Love is a powerful new department created to support our growing list of hair restoration clients through donated dreadlocks. What began as a small project has grown into a vital lifeline — with donors now sending in 5–10 packages weekly. Every strand is cleaned, treated, preserved, and matched with individuals who need them most.
This program isn’t just about hair — it’s about hope, healing, and honoring the beauty of what’s been grown. These donated locs are treasures that allow us to serve more people with dignity, especially those facing hair loss.
